Professor Rene D.esser is honored to receive the Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee



On the afternoon of March 19, 2018, at the City Hospital 115’s Hall, the City People's Committee awarded the Certificate of Merit to Professor Rene D.esser, a Vietnamese French for his excellent cooperation in teaching and training in the City for many years (from 2015 to 2017), thus positively contributing to the emulation movement of the City. Mr. Phung Cong Dung, Chairman of the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs in Ho Chi Minh City, and representatives of the Board of Directors, medical staff, doctors, and workers of the Hospital 115 attended the awarding ceremony.




Professor Rene D.esser is in charge of Polyclinique du Ternois Hospital’s Orthopedic Trauma Department in France. He was born in Hanoi. His Vietnamese name is Dam Minh. He is an orthopedic surgeon with extensive experience in surgery in Europe and in the US. In 1990, Stanford University invited him to be the head of the Orthopedic Trauma Department and be the professor at the University.

In 1997, Professor Ress D.esser returned to Vietnam to collaborate and assist Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic Trauma Center in operating the surgical room and operating the first surgeries in Vietnam. Since then, he has cooperated with many hospitals nationwide in performing free operations of many difficult and complicated cases of bone and joint.
