During the final round, the audience enjoyed the talents of the six best candidates chosen from 20 candidates.

This is the 2nd Gala Vgong’s Got Talent after the first event was organized successfully in 2017. It also aims to mark the 45thanniversary of Vietnam -Australia diplomatic relations, and the establishment of United Association of Vietnamese Students in New South Wales (UAVS).

Speaking at the event, Prof. Paul Gollan, Deputy Rector of University of Wollongong, said that the university is very honoured by and highly appreciates the activities of Vgong, one of the active and effective students’ clubs in connecting Vietnamese students in Australia.

He emphasized that his university has long-lasting relations with Vietnamese partners and universities. Vietnam ranked in the top five countries in number of students at University of Wollongong, mainly in sectors of engineering, information technology and business.

The professor also said that in 2017 many Vietnamese students won high awards or scholarships of the university.

Mr. Phan The Hoang, Head of Vgong, said that with the role of overseas Vietnamese in Australia, through the gala, the association wants to contribute to the common development of the bilateral relations, as well as contribute to promote Vietnamese culture in Australia.

In addition, the event also created a useful playground to connect Vietnamese students and help them reduce stress after their exams and nostalgia.
